ENTRAÎNEMENTS

Year 6 students and the Action Collégiens program at Maurice Utrillo College, Paris 18th with Nina Medioni.

How can the use of photography become a way of meeting others?
We conducted a sensitive human investigation, meeting the Championnet Sports center and its members, located in the 18th arrondissement of Paris. By pushing open the door of the center, we established a privileged contact with a place that cannot be discovered from the outside. We used the camera as a means of gently getting closer and questioning the delimitation between players and spectators by immersing ourselves in the different spaces of sport.
The resulting images are read in sequence, in a slow rapprochement, a step-by-step encounter with the other. In addition to the images, there were testimonies from some members whose stories, each one particular, sometimes intimate, funny or nostalgic, allowed us to embrace the diversity of this place.
